A new stylistic intent is created, somewhere between scenography and interior installation, the transformation of a tent at a race course into a modern day ateliers salon defies belief. ‘By Appointment Only’ takes its audience on an imagined fashion fantasy, their powerful experiences played out and shared on social media.

The ‘By Appointment Only’ Salon is accessible by black steel doors, already the pale pink velvet walls were visible through the glass. Guests were greeted by atelier assistants.

The industrial steel mesh walls and enormous soft velvet walls were bathed in the palest blush pink in a scene both Modern and Luxurious – every detail finely finished. An elevated one level floor plan held new charm for guests with its black architectural lines and internal black framed windows reminiscent of exclusive European atelier salons.

No salon is complete without overscaled mirrors, task lighting, work stools and an overload of velvet covered seats and chairs. The iconic ‘Scape’ armchair designed by Grant Featherston in the 1960’s, now made in Melbourne by Grazia & Co, pop in this seasons newest palette of pinks, clays, burgundy, toffee and soft grey.
