Visual Candy #7

The Chadstone Spring Jungle was made up of… Six super scaled paper Dahlias – each petal printed with a pink ombre and hand rolled, glued and riveted to the metal poles. Three metal Hibiscus – two layers of die cut metal shapes, decaled with a photographic print and rope detailing threaded through the centre. Three white Poppy’s – two layers of shaped metal decaled with a photographic print and hand bent and curled. Six small white metal flowers scored and bent into shapes, each with two gold mesh layers and a gold bead in the centre securing the three layers. Six gold Alucobond leaves scored in the centre and bent. Two black laser cut aluminium ferns, which curved naturally with their own weight.

Each material and was hand picked, each colour sorted and coordinated, elements pruned of unwanted threads and edging. Arranged and styled creating a magnificent spring installation to inspire passers by.
