Chadstone x Azuma Makoto Kids activation 2024
To complement their Azuma Makoto Studio installation, we created — The Botanical Lab. A destination for all ages to get creative.
A combination of open architecture and panels of transparent walling provided viewing access to The Botanical Lab where ‘nature making’ took place. The low-lying pavilion made from elegant pine strapping showcased activities for all ages. Set-up on stainless steel benches was woodblock stamping, botanical illustration and 15,000 sheets of origami paper, ready to bring people’s imagination to life. We then filled the space with blackboards, hanging lab coats, and plenty of places to experiment, create or simply observe floral activity.
