HenneRunway 2023
A series of divergent runways in an architecturally designed church, created a powerful statement for the Henne ‘Chroma’ collection show for AAFW.
Our brief from Henne to create a runway show stage was made all the more interesting by its location. The all-white, enveloping space with curved walls and ample amounts of natural light is part of the St Barnabas Anglican Church in Sydney. Evoking the feeling of constant movement, we built a series of runways that spanned the inside of the church. The almost — futuristic space was both welcoming and overpowering. It provided us with the canvas to create runway architecture reflecting the minimalist ideals and strength possessed by the ‘Henne woman’.
