On entering 1 Oliver Street guests had the feeling that the outside world was left behind.
The decayed grandeur of 1 Oliver Street was equal parts intense and mysteriously modern.
Its duck egg blue walls sharpened by black moulding framed our scenography.
Seven enormous ruffled silk curtains divided our parlour into different areas creating layers that unfolded with so many surprises; enormous portraits of woeful beauties, luxuriously bohemian carpets, rich velvet upholstery, crystal chandeliers and gift-laden cabinets of curiosity.
